The Sketchbook Club in November

The Sketchbook Club is a monthly event that encourages people to develop a positive relationship with their sketchbook. For some this might mean starting their sketchbook journey, for others this might be inspiration or a chance to overcome the fear of sketchbooks.

 

It is a space that welcomes all styles and abilities to connect or reconnect and enjoy using their sketchbook in a relaxed and social environment. It is an opportunity to overcome artist block, create for fun, build confidence, and get rid of any anxieties that may hold us back creatively.

 

Each month will bring a new theme / prompt for inspiration and guidance if needed. This will be there to motivate and encourage mindful sketching without the overthinking. Allowing you to free flow creatively and socialise! 

 

Sketching, journalling, doodling, making mistakes, overcoming mistakes, practicing, experimenting and exploring. Draw the surroundings, use the given prompt, or any other work you'd like create in your sketchbook. 

 

May this event bring you whatever you might need to help boost your creativity.

THINGS TO KNOW 

 

• Suitable for ages 18+
• All Levels and Abilities welcome. 
• Drinks are available as an additional purchase in the cafe.
• Sketchbooks are not included. Remember to bring your own or loose paper.
• Bring a pencil case of the tools you are most comfortable with.
• Must book a seat in advance, walk ins are not possible at the moment.

 

This is an untutored event, but guidance is available should you need it. It is open for everyone to share, collaborate and discuss ideas together, so no need to feel anxious or intimidated.

 

This is for fun and should act as a reminder to enjoy the creative process. 

 

TRANSPARENCY

 

Tickets are £10.50 per person, this goes towards covering the costs of renting the cafe for private use outside of the working hours, this does not include drinks purchsed on the night. It covers some materials that will be available to use during the event. There is also an online booking fee of 50p.

 

There are no refunds, if you are no longer able to attend then you are welcome to pass your space on to someone else. Please contact me with the updated information.
